The prestigious 20th “Birds in Action” competition, the longest-running contest for the most beautiful bird photograph in 2025, has been successfully completed.
Over the past 20 years, 213 authors have taken part in the Birds of Prey Protection Foundation’s competition for the best bird photograph — ranging from amateurs and bird enthusiasts to accomplished photography masters and pioneers of endangered species and habitat conservation.
Participants have so far submitted 2,671 works, of which 624 of the most striking photographs were showcased at the Foundation’s exhibitions and posters, while 216 were featured in its calendars. A total of 321 bird species have been documented in these photographs, from Serbia and around the world.
The authors who took part in this inspiring competition in 2025 are: Bernard Gašparovski, Brano Rudić, Dejan Krsmanović, Dragan Ilić, Gergelj Jozef, Geza Farkaš, Igor Gebleš, Ištvan Balog, Ivan Bukvić, Josip Šarić, Kristina Petrović, Mihajlo Bajandić, Milan Mišić, Miloš Smoljanić, Miodrag Zlatarov, Miroslav Mareš, Nikola Kostić, Nikola Stevanović, Olja Simović, Zoltan Frank, and Zoran Đukić.

In addition to the awarded works, 30 more photographs will be showcased at the exhibition, of which the 12 finest will be featured in the 2026 calendar.
